Scheduling Templates

Build the reusable signup presentation layer: roles, specs, icons, order, capacities, and optional GearCheck mappings.

Goal

A template that can be reused by events without storing event-specific routing, announcement, or recurrence settings.

Before You Start

  • At least one pack/activity role model if readiness should matter.
  • Scheduling template permission.

Steps

1

Start with signup presentation

Templates own how the signup rows look. Keep event title, channel routing, mentions, recurrence, and announcement defaults in events or profiles.

2

Load from local builds when possible

Choose pack, activity, and difficulty, then load matching builds. Imported marketplace templates should be treated as signup-only until mapped to this guild's local builds.

3

Set role order and icons

Order controls the Discord embed scan path. Icons can be Unicode or registered custom Discord emoji.

4

Preview before using

Use the preview to confirm roles, labels, icons, and capacities before creating events from the template.

Launch Checklist

  • Only signup presentation lives in the template.
  • Mapped rows use local GearCheck builds.
  • Marketplace imports are reviewed before enabling readiness.

Common Pitfalls

  • Saving event settings into templates.
  • Sharing profiles instead of templates.
  • Assuming another guild has the same pack/activity data.
