Goal

A RaidHelper-hosted event can benefit from GearCheck readiness without pretending GearCheck owns that event.

Before You Start

  • RaidHelper API configured.
  • A RaidHelper event link or ID, or a selectable synced event.
  • Optional local GearCheck builds to map roles.

Steps

1

Import a snapshot

GearCheck stores a local snapshot of the RaidHelper event, roles, and signups. It does not convert or repost the event.

2

Map roles for readiness

Map RaidHelper signup roles to local GearCheck builds when readiness should be evaluated.

3

Refresh when RaidHelper changes

Make event/signup edits in RaidHelper, then refresh the GearCheck snapshot.

Launch Checklist

  • The snapshot stays in RaidHelper Integration, not native Events.
  • Editable native-event controls are hidden.
  • Readiness and roster outputs are clearly analysis-only.

Common Pitfalls

  • Trying to manipulate RaidHelper signups from GearCheck.
  • Confusing snapshot import with event migration.
