Customizing the Overview
Arrange the widgets every officer sees on this server's Overview, and understand the limits and the tiles that explain themselves.

Goal
The Overview opens on the widgets your officers actually use, on as many pages as you need.
Before You Start
- Discord Manage Server, or the Edit Overview Layout permission granted to your staff role.
- A tablet or desktop screen: the editor is read-only on a phone.
- At least one game pack, so the Overview shows the full Command Center.
Steps
Open the editor
On the Overview, choose Edit overview in the page header. The sidebar becomes the widget menu and every widget on the canvas becomes selectable.
Add and arrange widgets
Search the menu, then choose Add. Drag a widget to move it, or select it and use the arrow keys; hold Shift with an arrow key to resize. The grid is six columns wide and everything repacks upward, so there are never holes.
Set a widget's options
Select a widget and choose Widget settings to pick its metric, its feed, how many rows it shows, or its text. Apply checks the value before it is kept.
Use pages
Add up to six pages and give each one a name; officers swipe or use the tabs between them. The first page is always called Home. Each page holds up to forty widgets.
Save, discard or reset
Save layout stores the layout for everyone on this server. Discard changes leaves without saving. Reset to default deletes the saved layout and brings back the standard one for everyone, immediately.
Read the tiles that explain themselves
A widget your plan or your role cannot use shows a short Not available tile to people who can edit the layout, and is hidden from everyone else. A widget GearCheck no longer has shows No longer available and is removed the next time you save.
Launch Checklist
- Reload the Overview: the layout you saved is the one that appears.
- Open the Overview as a moderator: the widgets they cannot use are simply not there.
- A saved layout survives a browser refresh and is the same for every officer.
- Reset to default brings the standard six widgets back.
Common Pitfalls
- Two officers editing at once: the second save is refused and offers to load the other version or overwrite it. Reload before a long edit.
- A very long notes widget can push the layout past its size limit; the editor says so before it tries to save.
- Renaming the first page does nothing: it always shows as Home.
